This 3D work aspires to symbolize the ugliness and terror experienced by thousands of good people who only want to have the opportunities we take for granted in America.
They travel through unimaginable danger and hardship only to reach the brutal edifice which is the border wall. Cruelly constructed so migrants can see through its impenetrable rails and marvel at the manicured opulence of the American experience; its cold reality mocking any little hope they have of ever knowing this whitewashed Eden for themselves and their children.
This soulless barrier casts a blood red shadow on both sides of the border which here becomes the visual manifestation of the sound wave pattern created by a thousand people screaming and crying in unison, as we all should be – while we sit in comfort and watch the American Dream wither and die in a miasma of hate and greed.
